Our Privacy Commitment

KintsuLabs does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party — and we never will. We do not display advertisements in any of our products, so your data is never used for ad targeting or profiling. We do not use fake, fabricated, or synthetic data to misrepresent our services or metrics; every piece of information we present to you is authentic and accurate. Privacy is not an afterthought at KintsuLabs — it is a foundational principle that guides every product decision we make, from feature design to infrastructure choices. Our backend infrastructure is built on Supabase, an open-source platform, because we believe transparency and trust go hand in hand. You deserve to know how your data is handled, and we are committed to earning that trust every day.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the services you choose to use. Depending on the product, this may include account identifiers, content you create or upload, usage settings, subscription status, support messages, device information, diagnostics, and other information you intentionally provide. The exact categories for each product are described in the relevant product-specific privacy appendix.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate product features, sync data where supported, authenticate users, process purchases, respond to support requests, maintain security, fix bugs, measure service reliability, and improve the user experience. We do not use personal data for third-party advertising, ad targeting, or selling data to advertisers.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and web products may use cookies or similar local storage for essential functionality, preferences, authentication, analytics, and security. Mobile apps may use platform identifiers or local storage for similar operational purposes. You can manage many browser cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential storage may affect service functionality.

4. Service Providers

We rely on trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, subscriptions, analytics, diagnostics, email delivery, AI processing where requested, and customer support. These providers process information only as needed to deliver services to us and our users. Product-specific appendices identify the provider categories most relevant to each product.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, or with your consent when required. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ by product and data type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where practical.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep our infrastructure, access controls, and operational practices proportionate to the sensitivity of the data we process.

8. International Transfers

KintsuLabs and our service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. When personal information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law, such as contractual protections or provider commitments designed to protect your information.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can contact us at support@kintsulabs.app to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

10. Age Restrictions

KintsuLabs services are intended for users who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that a child under 16 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, legal obligations, or data practices change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of our services after an update means the revised policy applies.

12. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how KintsuLabs handles personal information, contact us at support@kintsulabs.app.
